Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Trip – Overview
4-Day Private Sahara Trip to Erg Chebbi
Our Marrakech to Merzouga trip is a four-day private journey from the Red City to the tallest dunes in Morocco. You travel with your own driver-guide in a comfortable car. Along the way, you cross the High Atlas, visit famous kasbahs and walk through deep gorges. In addition, you spend a night in a desert camp in the Erg Chebbi dunes.

Kasbahs, valleys and gorges
First, you cross the Tizi n Tichka pass and stop at Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then you pass Ouarzazate and follow the Dades Valley, lined with kasbahs and rose fields. After that, you walk between the high cliffs of the Todra Gorge.

Sunset camel trek in Erg Chebbi
On day three, you reach Merzouga. Here, you ride a camel into the dunes as the sand turns gold and red. Later, you share dinner, music and stories at your desert camp. Early the next morning, you can climb a dune to watch the sunrise. Finally, you drive back to Marrakech via the Draa Valley or Ouarzazate.
Private and flexible
This trip is fully private, so you choose where to stop for photos or tea. We can also upgrade your camp to a luxury tent with a private bathroom. Short on time? Then see our 3-day desert tour from Marrakech. Contact us today to plan your Marrakech to Merzouga trip.
